8/13/2023 0 Comments Fire emblem echoes star jacinthObviously the grinding was extremely boring and tedious to do (and there was plenty), but for once I had a fun time with Echoes, and in Celica's route no less. * Star Jacinths: These help to rig good levelups, and can be sold for gold coins once I don't need to level up units anymore. It is a very rare drop though, it takes hours to get just 1. It has a weapon art that gives one attack 3 extra range, which is necessary to cut turns in many maps. * Parthia: For some forsaken reason, you cannot get Blessed Bows in the Inner Sanctum, but you are able to get Parthia. * Speed Ring(s): These give +1 Move, which come handy in multiple maps. * Mage Ring(s): In some maps increased magic range is necessary. * Iron Shield(s): These give the Shove skill, which is essential to cutting turns, specially in Celica’s route, in which Warp doesn't exist. The most abuseable of the DLC maps is the Inner Sanctum, a dungeon in which I could collect items that help me break the game into a million pieces: This huge oversight is likely proof that DLC was a last minute addition, unlike the other 3DS games, in which you can only access wireless content after beating a few chapters. In Echoes, you can access wireless content as soon as you leave Ram Village. However, a few maps couldn’t get a lower turn count than those in the regular LTC route. Under this settings my grinding spots were the dungeons and what inventory I could use was limited on what was available. Every turn I took grinding didn’t count for the total, but turns in world map did, as such I would skip unnecessary maps. The goal of this run was simple, beat the game with the lowest turn count possible, but unlike regular LTC runs, I am allowed to grind for exp offscreen. What I didn't expect is that this game is so broken that you could beat every map in the story in 1 turn. It got me thinking, which games with infinite grinding would be broken in a similar way? My first thought was Echoes, and started developing the run, with a vague idea of what I could do. The result was that nearly every map was beaten in 1 turn thanks to max magic warps and Dorothea's long range magic. At some point this year, someone linked me to a low turn count playthrough of Three Houses by lapogne36, unlike most runs, it allowed grinding and DLC.
